Food bank

The Hart Foodbank operation covering the Yateley/Darby Green area is run from premises in St Barnabas church in Darby Green on behalf of St Peter’s, St Barnabas' Church and St Mary’s Eversley churches.

 

The Foodbank is run under the umbrella of the national Trussell Trust - click on the panel left to find out more. It is a service designed to meet the needs of those in crisis, rather than providing long-term support. Its clients are assessed against criteria by various referral agencies, including local GPs, the CAB and Social Services.

Food is donated at all the services in all churches and is transported to St Barnabas for sorting and storage. 

 

The Foodbank is staffed by volunteers, including members of the three supporting churches. If you would like to volunteer to help this increasingly important service, please contact Mark Vernon at the St Peter’s Parish Office on 01252 912762 or email: office@stpetersyateley.org.uk

If you are able to donate food to the food bank via St Peter's we can accept items at Discoveries which is open Mon - Fri between 9am and 4pm and also Saturday 9am - 3pm. We also have a collection point outside the Parish Office.
