Good Morning St. Peter's!
Have you done anything exciting this week, now that we can move around a bit more? I went food shopping yesterday for the first time in nine weeks and it was great fun, although I confess it took a bit of courage.
When we spoke at the beginning of May I mentioned our Covid-19 Support Fund and I would just like to let you know that we have received donations into this Fund and have also made payments to those in need. This is just a reminder to let you know that we anticipate people will be in financial need for some time to come and we, as St. Peter's, are here to willingly support them.
If you find that you are in need of some financial help then please do get in touch with us – 01252 912761 and tell us that you would like some help. We are ready and willing to do what we can for you but we do need you to contact us so that we can provide assistance.
Many thanks again to all the donators and don't forget to let Maureen or Mark know if you suspect someone might be struggling financially but doesn't want to ask.
I don't know how we will ever raise the bar higher than our Talent Show on Saturday, and congratulations Meryl on a well-deserved win (excellent judging by our guests). I fondly remember our Harvest celebrations when we put on a talent show and I just love seeing how many church members have hidden extra talents. I miss being together as 'church' but as each week passes, we get nearer to that being a reality.
It is important that we can keep in contact with one another in these strange times. As a church we use a programme called Churchsuite to help us communicate. You need to register an email address with Churchsuite (it does not need to be a stpetersyateley.org.uk email address!) to stay connected. You can either do this online yourself or call Maureen in the office (01252 912761) and she will help you. We can then keep you up to date with the 'goings on' in St Peters.
We are sorry that due to administrative difficulties we will not be able to thank our regular givers to St Peters with our usual personal letter this year. Please do look out for the general 'thank you' note on the website or in your inbox.
Keep tuning into our service broadcasts on Sunday, our 11am Wednesday Thought for the Week, our 7pm Kitchen Worship on Wednesday and tonight (Tuesday) we have a ladies zoom meal at 7pm. Actually 'church' is still a pretty busy place to belong to!
Let's 'Raise a Hallelujah' as we go through the rest of this week and continue to pray for our dear friends who are ill or in hospital. Love and blessings Linda Hoskins and John Moloney Church Wardens
